Oriental Sushi Bar Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
Iceberg lettuce, as needed,
red bell pepper, sliced, red cabbage, sliced, shredded carrot, water chestnuts from a can, toasted sesame seeds,
chives for decoration, sesame-ginger salad dressing as needed.
Recipe:
Cut the iceberg lettuce coarsely, add the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and toss with the sesame-ginger dressing. You can leave some of the shredded carrot to put on top of the salad for decoration. It is best if you can shred the carrot on a mandoline slicer, but if you don't have one a shredder will do. Serve the sushi salad in chilled soup bowls. Top with toasted sesame seeds and fresh chives. This salad is a good accompaniment for sushi and sashimi, as well as beef satays.
