WHOLE WHEAT BREAD RECIPE

Whole wheat bread loaf
 

Ingredients:

1 portion instant dry yeast;
1/2 tablespoon sugar;
1 cup water;
3 cups whole wheat flour;
1 teaspoon sea salt;
1 tbsp. panko bread crumbs;
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil.

Recipe: Pour the whole wheat flour, sugar, yeast, salt and oil in a large plastic bowl. Add the water and knead the bread dough until soft and smooth. If needed add some more water or flour. Put the dough in a clean bowl sprinkled with flour, cover with kitchen towels and place it in a warm place. Wait for about an hour or until the dough doubles in size. Grease a baking tray and sprinkle it with the panko bread crumbs. Place the loaf on it and bake in a preheated oven at medium heat for about 35 minutes, or until golden brown and crusty. The whole wheat bread is ready if you insert a stick in it and it comes out clean. Let the bread cool down for at least 15 minutes covered with a kitchen towel before cutting it. Making whole wheat bread is simple and easy. If you want to try the dough for a whole wheat pizza, then you will need a slightly different recipe.
