Bulgarian Pork Stew With Cabbage - "Svinsko s zele"
Ingredients: 1 medium head of cabbage, diced; 1 medium onion, sliced; 4 tomatoes, chopped; 1 lb. diced pork; 1/2 tablespoon paprika; 1 bay leaf; 1 teaspoon black pepper; 1 flat tablespoon salt or to taste; 6 tablespoons sunflower oil.
Recipe: Heat the oil in a large saucepan over high heat and brown lightly the diced pork for 2 minutes. Add the onion and saute for 3 minutes more. Add the chopped tomatoes and the paprika, and cook for 3 minutes more. Add the cabbage and the seasoning and stir well. Cover the saucepan and reduce the heat to medium. Simmer the stew for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cabbage and pork are soft.
